- Sep 12: The Walford Anglican School for Girls in Adelaide, South Australia, Australia sponsored an ARISS contact for students with Ricky Arnold. An audience of over 400 listened while he answered 18 of the girls’ questions. The school streamed the event live via Facebook and the British Amateur TV Club carried online video of the event. Some time prior to the ARISS contact, a group of students had traveled to Alabama to attend Space Camp. The day of the ARISS contact, the school created a video of the day’s events, and the beginning of the video featured highlights from the students’ trip to Space Camp. The school is promoting STEM using many avenues, and another group of girls will be going to Space Camp next year.
- Sep 10: Students at Colegio Del Sol, San Miguel de Tucuman in Tucuman, Argentina had a day they will never forget when their school hosted an ARISS contact with Serena Aunon-Chancellor. She answered 11 students’ questions and 200 people crowded the room while more students sat in an adjacent hall. The event was covered by a TV station and a newspaper outlet.
- Sep 17: Ricky Arnold will support an ARISS radio contact with students at Otori Elementary School in Sakai City, Japan.
- Sep 21: An ARISS contact for students and Alexander Gerst will take place for these schools: the Bischöfliche Schule / Technisches Institut in St.Vith, Belgium, and the Berufliche Schule Direktorat 1 Nürnberg, in Nuremberg, Germany.
